Councillor Steps Down
Pentyrch Community Councillor Nick Webb stepped down from the Council in February 2006. Pentyrch born Nick served for four years after being co-opted at the young age of 22. Now living and working just outside Bristol he was sad to leave his Council work and the area, but had to follow a career opportunity. During his spell in office he was conscientious and hard working and in particular supported and set up the following; Youth Focus Groups, actively promoted Cycle paths, Neighborhood Watch. He represented the Council on the Governing body of Pentyrch Primary School and helped Pentyrch Open Gardens set up their website. He wrote for the Community link Magazine, Parish Magazine, and Local Press championing Community improvements. The Community Councillors and Pentyrch residents wish to thank Nick for his dedicated work, and wish him well for the future. Finally a quote from Nick; “Pentyrch is very lucky to have so many pro-active residents looking after its interests. Most areas have ‘talkers’ Pentyrch has ‘doers’ and it is a better place for it.”
Diolch yn fawr i Nick Webb am ei gyfraniad sylweddol i waith y Cyngor Cymuned. Roedd cael aelod ifanc brwdfrydig yn gymorth mawr ac yn ein galluogi i ddeall anghenion cenhedlaeth newydd yr ardal. |
