The application includes details of the timescales for the construction of a new tunnel access on to the Ty Nant roundabout which the company is obliged to provide under the current planning permission. The company is holding an exhibition to which Members of the Public and interested parties are invited and where details of the application will be on display. RMC staff will also be on hand to explain the proposals. The exhibition will be held at the Taffs Well quarry office, Heol Goch, Pentyrch on the following dates: 27 -29th April from 2pm until 7pm 30th April 9am until 12.30pm. Car parking will be available at the office. Should they be required further details may be obtained by contacting either Dave Goodman on 02920 593378 or Keith Frost on 01932 583450.

GWAELOD-Y-GARTH POST OFFICE
There is now a limited Post Office service operating at the Gwaelod-y-Garth Village hall on Tuesdays and Fridays between 9.30 and 12.00. The service also includes car taxing. Please make use of this service or it may be lost to the village. The service is kindly supplied by the Post Master of Taffs Well village and we are thankful for his support in this respect. You may be a car owner who has access to facilities outside the village, but still pop in to show your support, the queues will be shorter. Not everyone, particularly the elderly, who rely on it for their pensions, has access to transport. We all are getting older and let us think of the long term benefits to our small village. Imagine living without a car for just one week in Gwaelod-y-Garth and I can guarantee that you will appreciate how vital local services are, especially to the old and disabled. Thanks for your support.

The Tsunami Appeal Concert in Bethlehem Chapel, Gwaelod-y-Garth in January raised a massive £2068 which has been donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee Appeal Fund. It was a great afternoon thanks to Sian Cothi, Catrin Finch, Ysgol Gwaelod y Garth Choir, Ryland Teifi, Celticana and the Serendipity Choir for helping make the event such a resounding success. And of course thanks to all those who turned out to listen.
